End of the Innocence

End of the Innocence

Scripture(s): Mark 5:35-41; Philippians 1:27-28 (NIV)

As the sermon series, The Totally Tubular 80s, winds down, for many, the end of the 80s was a major transition.  As I recalled the early years of life, things seemed so simple, so sheltered and everything was filled with innocence.  As we grow older, the bliss and innocence of our early years begin to fade as we journey into the open areas transition and life.  Through the ups and downs in life process, we desire to discover what is truly important.  When it all comes down to it, we must live a life that makes sense in a world that makes little or no sense.

This week we will look at what we do when transitions in life and faith don’t always follow the pattern we expect and what’s left when it’s the End of the Innocence.
