Services on 2 Corinthians
God never meant for us to have a distant or impersonal connection with Him. From the beginning God always intended for us to encounter Him for ourselves, intimately, rather than through ritual, practices or even other people.
Over the next 7 weeks, these heart-felt messages will enable us to break the silence, reduce the stigma, and remind people that it is not a sin to be sick, and the church to become a place of refuge and hope for all those in pain: physical, emotional and mental.
During this message series, we are focusing on “cleaning house” in the three different parts of our being/“house”: our spirit, our soul, & our body. Even though we may not be at hoarder status, all of us allow stuff into our lives, whether knowingly or unknowingly that can take over & we need to start Cleaning House.
Each of us is fighting a war that begins in our minds and some of us may feel like we are losing the battle. As Christians we have alternatives that are different than those for the rest of the world.
Scripture(s): Exodus 33:11 (NIV) 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (MSG) In this new series we were playing look at God, not from a far off Lord in the sky but close up real close up. Honestly, that what we learn. God desires for us to encounter Him closely ourselves not in some connection through others. Get ready for some Close Encounters of the best kind.
Although we are not Jesus, we’re talking about leaving boldly because God has placed within everyone of our hearts a deep desire to live a life that will outlast us by doing something with our one and only life that will be here after we’re gone. This week in OMTL series, the message will focus us on our fourth principle as we learn to Leave Boldly with a great legacy.
We guard ourselves by projecting a false image and perfection to the all those around us. Where is God in all of this? In week four of the I Have No Clue series, we will look at how through suffering and scars, God uses it all to show His glory while molding and strengthening us in through our scars.
This week as we stare at the 4th of July, we look back at men and women who dedicated their lives to a cause greater than themselves. George Washington himself recognized this saying, “Make sure you are doing what God wants you to do–then do it with all your strength.” If we are not, we need to transformed strength.
In this second week of the series Old Time Religion, we will look at the old time faith and how some of the greatest hardships in life strengthens the relationship with Christ rather than divides or severs it.
In this sermon, we will talk about the masks we wear and how to remove them so that Christ can transform us.
