Wesley Hewitt

Wes worked for DuPont at the Chambers works site in New Jersey. In August of 1971, he started an apprenticeship for Sheet Metal. He then attended Salem Community College and graduated from their Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program in May of 1975. Fourteen years later he returned to Salem Community College and received his Associate Degree in Applied Science in 1991.

He has been married to Emily for 56 years. They have two children, a son and a daughter, and five grandchildren. Over his adult life he has attended different churches and was on the leadership teams of all of them. He became a Presbyterian Elder at the Union Presbyterian in Carneys Point, NJ.

Prior to joining Haven Community Church, Wes was the Lay Leader for St Paul’s UMC in Earleville MD. He is presently on the Board of the Peter D. Weaver Congo Partnership, having been to Kinshasa, Democratic of Congo twice with this partnership.
