Haven's Helping Hands
Fighting Homelessness in Our Community
For the next six weeks, Haven’s Helping Hands will focus on the issue of homelessness in our community and region. Since 2014, this has been a major part of our outreach—representing nearly a quarter of our efforts. Over the years, we have served meals, supported shelters, and provided food, clothing, emergency supplies, and financial support to those in need.
This year, we invite the congregation to join us by donating food, supplies, and gently used clothing for those experiencing homelessness. A list of needed items can be found in the lobby or using the Download Needs button below.
On Sunday, May 17, we will hold a Sorting Party to organize the donations. The collected items will support the work of Meeting Ground in Elkton, and Hope Dealers Outreach, which serves those on the streets in Kensington and Baltimore.
