Scripture(s): 1 Peter 1:6-7 (NLT)
There are those times when believing in God seems so difficult because we pray and wonder why our prayers are not answered. We see and experience suffering and tragedy; yet, wonder where God is and why does he tolerate suffering. How do we make sense of all this? So often we want to trust and believe in God but when the aforementioned things happen we often doubt God cares or even if he is there at all. So often we say we want to believe in God or do we just want to believe in our version of Him? Join us in this 4-week series God Didn’t, I Can’t, as we challenge what belief in God truly means and how when he doesn’t meet our wishes and desires, it is actually a good thing. Join us as we find out why.
It doesn’t take much to look around, turn on the news, open social media, or pick up a newspaper to see how much pain and hurt there is in the world. When looking around in comparison to the love of God that we hear, it seems like God could in no way have our best interests in mind. This last week of our message series, we will look at “How can we believe in a Callous God?”
