Everyone had a great time sharing their love with “that special valentine” and watching a movie with popcorn and snacks. And what were those guys trying to get down from the ceiling?
Every year, our church makes up Thanksgiving Boxes filled with a turkey and all the trimmings so families in our community can have Happy Thanksgiving. Every year the number of boxes increases, and the families who are served grows.
Vacation Bible School was a week full of fun and learning. Climbing Everest was the theme, filled with food and occasional snow flying in the sanctuary.
There is something very special when you get a group of women together for fun, food, and fellowship!!! Judy always knows how to make you feel warm and welcome whether it is your first visit or your a regular in her home. So blessed to have so many wonderful women to share fun times with. This year over 30 women and several babies joined the party. Thanks Mama Judy! (Photos by Laura Wight)
Weather was great, and the parade was larger than ever. Over 85 floats, bands, and more. Thanks to the hard work of several church families, we had an awesome float – winning First Place in the Adult Non-Profit Float category. Everyone had a great time sharing Jesus with Cecil County. Another awesome success, donating Christmas gift boxes to Samaratin’s Purse and their annual Operation Christmas Child campaign. Children around the world had something to open on Christmas, and know that people care about them. The kids in Sunday School also filled the last minute boxes to have them blessed during our service.
Who are those masked people? You can see just how creative a family we have at Haven Community Church. What a blast going trunk to trunk for treats. Oh, and yes the food inside the church was awesome too.
Beautiful weather once again for the annual church picnic. Food, games, fellowship & conversation was once again awesome by the over 100 people who attended. Not a frown on anyone’s face, nor an empty stomach either. Thanks Laura Wight for all the photos.
